NeurotechEU Kick-off Event brings together the MUI Community

On 9 June 2026, the NeurotechEU Kick-off Event was hosted at the Faculty Club, bringing together more than 50 PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, principal investigators, and colleagues from across the university.

The kick-off provided an opportunity for members of the MUI community to learn more about NeurotechEU’s mission, ongoing activities, and the many possibilities for involvement across research, teaching, mobility, innovation, and outreach. Participants gained insights into the alliance’s collaborative framework and explored how they can contribute to and benefit from its growing European network.

Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Patrizia Stoitzner opens the event by highlighting the opportunities and possibilities within the network.

The programme featured presentations on NeurotechEU’s strategic objectives, current initiatives, and upcoming opportunities for students, researchers, and staff. Particular attention was given to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and strengthening connections between MUI and partner institutions across Europe.

The strong attendance reflected the considerable interest within the MUI community in international collaboration and engagement with NeurotechEU activities. The diverse group of participants, representing different disciplines and career stages, contributed to lively discussions and valuable networking opportunities throughout the afternoon.

As a member of the NeurotechEU Alliance, the MUI is committed to supporting excellence in education, research, innovation, and societal engagement. The kick-off event provided a platform to connect colleagues, exchange ideas, and build momentum for future collaborations within the alliance.

We thank all participants for their enthusiasm and engagement and look forward to working together to further strengthen NeurotechEU activities at the MUI and across Europe.
