On 9 June 2026 from 16:30, the Medical University of Innsbruck invites PhD students, postdocs, PIs and all MUI colleagues interested to the official MUI NeurotechEU Kick-off Event.

NeurotechEU is the European University Alliance of Brain and Technology. At MUI, the alliance offers opportunities for international collaboration in research, education, mobility, innovation, clinical neurotechnology, internships, outreach and networking.
The kick-off event will introduce NeurotechEU at MUI, present the alliance’s vision and activities, and show concrete ways for MUI researchers and teachers to get involved. The event also aims to identify interested colleagues and build the local MUI NeurotechEU community.
The MUI Vice-Rectors for Research & Internationalisation and for Teaching & Academic Affairs will also attend the event, highlighting the university’s support for NeurotechEU and its strategic relevance for MUI.
NeurotechEU seminar
Earlier the same day, Prof. Marcel van Gerven from Radboud University will give a NeurotechEU seminar titled “NEURO-AI: When Brains meet Machines” from 13:00 – 14:30 at the MZA Hörsaal, Anichstraße 35. More information on the seminar is available in the separate event post.
